So here’s a little bit about me…I recently relocated from Dayton, Ohio to the Silicon Valley/San Francisco Bay area (Mountain View) with my hubby and 5 year old son! We are loving California and our new area so very much! We, of course, LOVE the amazing weather and beautiful surroundings, and the sunshine! It has been an amazing experience so far! Moving across the country and learning all sorts of new things has truly been a wonderful and eye-opening adventure! While we miss our friends and family dearly, we are so very happy in our new home!
I could walk you through all of my likes…trust me..it’s a lot! The Ocean. Basketball (Go Dayton Flyers! and Duke!) Snow. Sand. Friends. Family. “Fixer Upper” – Chip and Joanna Gaines are my heroes! Laughter. Sushi. Amazing fonts. My iPhone. Everything Apple. And of course photography. Navy blue. Sugar free vanilla lattes. You get the idea! Seriously, I could keep going!
I have been taking photographs almost my whole life! I recently found some old photos from my childhood that I know were snapped with my moms borrowed camera or one of those disposable cameras I was always saving up to buy! I think I probably had a 1000 of those booklets of photos that you get back once you turned in the disposable camera to get processed. EEEK! 🙂 About 10 years ago, I had an amazing opportunity to be a second photographer at weddings (not the main photographer but a helper who also takes pictures!) working alongside an amazing friend (Thanks Ashley!!)…I was able to learn so much from her and really owe a lot to her! I doubt I would be where I am no without her allowing me to help and learn from her! 😉
After my son was born, weddings no longer fit well into my life as a new mom and my interest to create amazing, natural, storytelling images intensified after having my son, like most photographers and I have been obsessed ever since! I find myself drawn to life-inspired family, newborn, child! As a [lifestyle] family photographer, I want to document life-inspired moments! I love capturing the true moments of love and laughter families share! Every family is so unique and I aim to capture each family as they are! I have been obsessed with capturing my son in both big moments and also in those every day moments! When I look back on the photos I have taken of him and us as a family, I remember that moment, the feelings I had, what we were going through. I remember the laughter, the love, the tears and meltdowns so vividly from those images. I want you to be able to cherish those images of your family (both the big moments and those ever day ones) and be able to hold on to those memories for years to come!
